Privacy Policy

PhotoForge is a photo editing app that works 100% offline. This policy explains what the app accesses and what it does with it.

Data we collect

None. PhotoForge does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app requests no internet permission, has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.

Device permissions used

Photos / gallery access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES on Android 13+, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older versions) — used only when you tap “Edit a Photo”, so you can choose a picture to edit. Your photos are processed on-device and are never uploaded anywhere.

Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, only on Android 9 and below) — used only to save your edited photo to the gallery when you tap Save. On Android 10+ the app saves via the system MediaStore without this permission.

Where your photos go

Edited photos are saved to the PhotoForge album in your device’s picture gallery, and small thumbnails of recent edits are kept in the app’s private storage on your device so the home screen can show them. Everything stays on your device. Uninstalling the app removes the app-private thumbnails; photos saved to your gallery remain until you delete them.

Children

PhotoForge collects no data from anyone, including children.
